Case Management:

A case manager or supervisor is assigned to the customer when a referral is made and will contact the customer as soon as possible to verify instructions.  , and their duties include:

  • Contacting all of the parties involved after each scheduled appointment.
  • Continually assessing the customer’s ability to reach MMI and return to work.
  • Adhering to any time frames designated for state fee schedules.
  • Identifying all hindrances the customer may have in reaching a resolution.
  • Establishing plans of action which will provide professional choices designed to overcome barriers.
  • Providing faultless integration of treatments recommended and necessary activities for file.
  • Establishing appropriate time frames for recovery using established procedures for treatment.
  • Keeping all of the parties well-informed of changes significant to the case.
  • Clearly defining any areas of savings the customer may be entitled to.

 

Reports and Correspondence

In the area of correspondence, a case manager’s duties include:

  • Ensuring prompt reporting
  • Making certain that each report gives accurate details, reflects appropriate actions taken, and outlines a plan with a workable time frame.
  • Composes comprehensive, yet brief reports.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

In each case, a supervisor’s responsibilities include:

  • Providing continual discussions with case managers concerning outcomes and file activities.
  • Providing continual training and counseling to maintain a successful case management process.
